The Plainfield Tsunami Track and Field Club is a year-round community program that has been serving young people between the ages of 6 and 18 of Plainfield, NJ and the surrounding communities since 1994. The program continues the rich track and field tradition that pre-dates the emergence of legendary Plainfield High School product Milt Campbell, who won a gold medal in the decathlon in the 1956 Summer Olympics. It strives to cultivate scholar athletes by emphasizing the value of strong academics, while providing opportunities to develop the full athletic potential. In the process, the athletes learn life lessons of discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility and character.
