Team Nationals

At last the season is officially over! We started with practice back in November and now we’ve just concluded with the AAU and USATF National Jr. Olympics.

Congratulations are in order for all our National Jr. Olympics competitors.

Ajanae Thompson won the 80 meter hurdles at the USATF JO’s at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, KS. She is our third USATF National Champion.

The very next week, at the AAU JO’s at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti (Detroit),MI, Paige Sheppard won the 800 meters. Although we’ve had medalists in the 8 & under group, Paige is our first national champion in that age group.

Jenai Berry placed 5th in the 800. This is her 4th JO medal, the third one in the 800.

Avery Jordan placed 8th in the 200 hurdles for her first JO medal.

Abayomi Hazel just missed out on the medals placing 10th in the 800, he also ran the 400 & 1500.

Morgan Daley also just missed, placing 11th in the 3000. She also competed in the 800, & 1500.

Celine Brown competed in the long jump.

Jada Mia Puryear competed in the 200 hurdles and the 200 dash.

Competition at the national level is not just tough, it’s VERY tough. Year after year our kids seem to hold their own against the best competition in the nation! Once again, hats off to all of our JO competitors!
