2017 AAU Jr. Olympic All American – Paige Sheppard

by admin on August 7, 2017

From the first day she stepped on the track, everyone knew that there was something special  about Paige. When others at practice were bent over in exhaustion, Paige was running around, smiling and asking the coaches “what’s next?”.
After watching in amazement and waiting for her to finally be old enough to run in the big events, Paige was let loose at the indoor nationals where the coaches got a taste of things to come when she won the 800 meter run. Well, she won that and it was off to the races ever since.
At the 2017 AAU Jr. Olympics, Paige doubled down and became Tsunami’s youngest national champion at the age of 7 by winning the 800 meter run with an amazing time of 2:43.15.
Great job Paige! Keep that joy for running and we can only imagine what’s in store for you!
