Ajanae USTAF Record

Our very own and newest athlete of Plainfield Tsunami, runner Ajanae Thompson has broken a 22-year USATF New Jersey Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship Meet Record in the 80-meters hurdles by running 12.64 seconds at the USATF NJ Association Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships surpassing Amber Williams previous mark of 12.9 set in 1995.

The confidence-boosting run comes after the 11-year-old re-set the 80 meters hurdles meet record at the 2017 USATF Hershey National Youth Indoor Championships in March.

Ajanae will compete at USATF Region 2 Track and Field Championships July 8-9th.  Ajanae is very humble and hopes to achieve another record this time the Regional record. In the words of Coach Tony, “Let’s keep it going. Hard work equals big things.”
